The neighborhood takes its name from its 87-acre park, once part of Stenton, the country estate of colonial-era statesman James Logan. Over the years those grounds have held a horse racing track, a lake, and a carousel, and the old music pavilion still stands. Renovations have since added new ball fields and garden space, and the park remains a gathering place for families across North Philadelphia.
Hunting Park’s housing is mostly two- and three-story brick rowhomes from the early 1900s, many with a few steps up to the door, a straight run of stairs inside, and more than one generation sharing the space.
101 Mobility of Greater Philadelphia works with Hunting Park households of every kind, from grandparents aging in place to caregivers helping a loved one every day. Call (215) 608-0866 for a free in-home evaluation.

Every home and every situation is different, but here’s where we usually start:
| If you’re dealing with… | We often suggest… |
| Trouble climbing to the second floor | A straight or curved stairlift |
| Steps between the sidewalk and the front door | A wheelchair ramp or vertical platform lift |
| Fear of falling in the bathroom | Grab bars and a shower or transfer seat |
| Difficulty standing up from a chair | A lift chair recliner |
| Lifting a loved one between bed and chair | A patient lift |
| A short-term need after surgery | Rental or refurbished equipment |

Not sure what a stairlift ride feels like? Our Bensalem showroom is a short drive up 95 North. We offer a wide range of products ready for demonstration. Ride a stairlift, try our patient lift solutions, and see bathroom safety products in person.

Will a patient lift fit in a small bedroom? In most cases, yes. Compact mobile lifts and ceiling-mounted systems are both available, and we’ll recommend one that suits your room and your caregiver’s needs.
Who comes out for the consultation? A mobility specialist from our local Bensalem team. They’ll take measurements, answer your questions, and find the right solution for you, that’ll comfortably fit your budget.
